Ban Bossy

Girls Scouts,, Lifetime and countless others teamed up with the likes of Beyoncé, Sheryl Sandberg, Arne Duncan, Condoleezza Rice, Diane von Furstenberg, Jennifer Garner and more to encourage girls to lead in a campaign launched today, #BANBOSSY.

Instead of being called bossy, girls should aim to literally be a boss.

  2. Awesome Sauce!!!!!!! “Bossy” is the prerequisite to later being called a “b*tch” when you become a powerfully, successful, woman. I’m going to join right now! Thanks for sharing this!

    • Oh, of course. I was disappointed but completely conceded when they said “By middle school girls are less interested in leadership than boys.”
Really struck a cord with me.
I get so beside myself seeing girls crush their own dreams with fear. I don’t have a daughter, but I’d like to encourage my younger siblings to be all, and then some, that they can be. :)
