This was written last night, to clear up any confusion:
Tonight is my first night staying up with Kam (my son, for those of you who don’t know) until his homework is done. No, excuse me, until his homework is done correctly. And not just tonight’s homework but his homework from most of this week.
New Year, same old me. Same old procrastinating-brimming schedule-not necessarily knowing how to prioritize (because 60% of the time it seems too exhausting when I’m already exhausted)-being in an inopportune or compromising position and can’t get my inspirations written down before they flutter away-absentminded ME.
Hey guys! Apologies for my absence, but a lot has been going on. We can discuss those details later. . . In the meantime I’m kicking off my ‘homecoming’ with the discussion of relationships and what it means to be whole.
I find small obsessions where I can sit for hours, if the time allows, focused on that one thing. Recently my obsession has been about TED talks. If you aren’t familiar with what this is, it’s basically a platform for people to spread their ideas in the form of short talks. Some can be lengthy, but I wouldn’t bother writing this is it wasn’t worth your time.
I’ve compiled a few that I think are essential for inspiration, particularly for millennials who could use a quick pick-me-up.
